10. Safety and Safeguarding

• 10.1 Parental Supervision: Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Parents or guardians should remain within sight of their children during the event.
• 10.2 Safeguarding Awareness: While Santa’s Garden Scarborough is not a formal childcare organisation, we support safeguarding best practices. We encourage awareness of resources such as the NSPCC’s free online module “Listen Up, Speak Up” (link).
• 10.3 Insurance and Risk Assessment: We maintain appropriate public liability insurance and carry out risk assessments to ensure visitor safety, including checking pathways, decorations, and weather conditions.
